Solving problems is such a big part of our lives.

Still, sometimes we don’t always recognize it for what it is. Daily decisions such as hitting the snooze button on the alarm clock and staying under the covers for just a few more minutes; what clothes we wear; how we spend our time are all based upon solving a problem and making a decision.

Often we decide so quickly that we don’t always realize that a choice has been made.  It can sometimes feel that things are thrust upon us.  Other times we are aware of the choices we make.

Let’s look at the word problem for a moment. Dictionary.com defines problem as: noun — any question or matter involving doubt, uncertainty, or difficulty.

When working with clients we use a six-step process simply called — DECIDE.

D Define Problem
E Express Importance
C Create Solutions
I Identify Solution
D Do It
E Evaluate

Next time we’ll look at the first step in DECIDEDefine Problem.
