Imagine the following:
Your teen lacked skills that are used to get their room clean.
You needed to dig a little deeper to find which skills need to be addressed.
You both expressed the importance of having a clean room from your individual perspectives.
You both brainstormed potential solutions. You simply listed them without judgment.
Step four in the DECIDE problem solving process is: Identify Solution.
You and your teen have a list of ideas generated from brainstorming. It’s time to go over the list and select an idea. If the best idea is obvious, great! If not, start weighing the pros and cons of each idea until you and your teen select one to move forward with.
